1) I recall that Zenoss has a custom web api for doing custom checks like scraping a value off a page like apaches /status page and then graphing a value over time. I can't recall where this is.
2) I am also wondering if it's possible to integrate zenoss with something like puppet or chef or some other remote execution tool (ssh) for example a value for a metric is beyond a certain threshold, can it integrate with these systems out of the box, or would it require developing a plugin or using an existing plugin?
This is in Zenoss core, not enterprise that I am asking.
Thanks in advance!
I believe the API used the Bottle Python Web framework for writing your own command line http checks, but I'm not sure if thats the framework or if that's what is used.
Regardless, I just want to scrape stats off a Webpage in plain text or json and then graph them.
