As most everyone would agree, development did an amazing job with the new event console. We now finally have event severities that can be seen by coloblind users, something, believe it or not quite a lot of people are (at least partial). The new console addresses this nicely with the severity based icons. I still believe the default setting should be to continue to use the color. Also, everyone will be able to adjust their setting to whatever they prefer, it's all about what the default out-of-box setting for every user should be.
