Using zenoss 3.2.0
Libvirt Zenpack 1.71
to montore 2 KVM Host with some running guest on it !!
Does someone know how those guest are checked ? By libvirt API or by snmp ?
Did anyone else had this issue before ?
Thanks in advance.
Well after few days playing with this zenpack, I'd like to point some features that could be great to be done and on which i'm ready to work on:
* The libvirt guest list is not really usefull in my opinion :
the server reported the following error: AttributeError 'InfoBase' object has no attribute 'status'
2. You can't monitore the guest, no treshold are available. any information are visible on the Guest summary
pages. If you want to know what's happening in the host, you need to click one by one on every host.
3. the information displayed is in CPUTIME, which is not efficient. We should get usedCPU/availableCPUforVM %.
4. the memory stats are not working ( know issue).
All those information are available through the libvirt so it should be possible to do it. I hope some one will be also interested by KVM monitoring to help me with. As I said i'm available to work on it if necessary.
cheers Open-source likers.
Did you find resolution on the this?Because I have the same issue on my KVM VMs which all of the guests shows down state. I used libvirt v1.97 running on CentOS v6.3 x86_64bit.
If ever you have work-around I appreciate if you could shared these with us.
