I keep getting an email with a warning from some of my windows servers saying that my SNMP Agent is down. When I go to devices on my Zenoss page I see the green button which tells me the deivice is up.
How can i fix t his issue? I am running v3.12
The SNMP agent is separate from the device. Device UP/DOWN is by ping, so a device can respond to ping but not SNMP for all sorts of reasons:
SNMP is not installed
SNMP is broken / crashed
SNMP is firewalled with the host firewall
SNMP has permissions preventing connections from Zenoss...
You'll need to read up on how your snmp agent works, and check all of the above...

So far I have set the max oid to 10 and the SNMP version to 1.
I have 3-4 servers with the same issue, so far only one has reported the service as down.
I reset these this morning so it may take time for them all to show up, so this may not be the fix.
