NFS Mount Monitoring

In 3.2 I see where the NFS mount on a AIX/RedHat box shows the mount point under the File System section of the device.

Device--> Components--> File System --> /backup

As you can tell the NFS mount is called backup, and is used for such. My question is (I know there are forums posts) in not so many words, is there a way to have an alert sent if the NFS Mount for /backup fails to load when the "/etc/filesystems<>/etc/fstab" is applied durring boot?
