I'm using a fresh install of the Zenoss 3.0.3 appliance on ESXi 4.1... I'm currently in the testing phase of the deployment and I have 2 servers setup. For some reason my backup server (W2K3 physical server) keeps triggering the CPU Threshold alarm and I keep getting false notifications every night that the CPU usage is over 90%
See one of the notifications below:
Event: 'threshold of CPU Utilization over 90 exceeded: current value 26.00'
Cleared by: 'threshold of CPU Utilization over 90 restored: current value 5.00'
At: 2011/04/08 03:39:28.000
threshold of CPU Utilization over 90 exceeded: current value 26.00
So if the CPU Utilization is only 26% it should not be sending the notification. I only want it to receive the notification if a server is running at over 90% for X amount of minutes.
How would I go about doing this?
I think I may have figured this one out. For some reason in the Threshold settings for the monitor, the "Maximum Value" was set to 10. I changed this to 90. Will monitor to see if this resolved the issue.
