Unable to view zProperties pages, maybe related to the VMware ESX Filesystems ZenPack

Anytime I try to view the zProperties page, it takes 30 seconds or more then displays the "A Zenoss error has occurred" with the following debugging info:

Type: AttributeError

AttributeError: zZenPackCommunityVMwareESXlibexec

The VMware ESX Filesystems ZenPack (ZenPacks.community.VMwareEsx-2.2.4-py2.4.egg) is no longer installed, so my best guess is that this error is happening when the DMD tries to fetch the value of the non-existant property. Any ideas how I could remove the bad references with zendmd, or otherwise troubleshoot and fix the problem? Thanks in advance--

(This is Zenoss 2.5.2 on Ubuntu Server 8.04. I have been unsuccessful in upgrading to v3.0.1 because the zencatalog process dies, and I'm beginning to suspect this error may be related.)
