problem with graph definition

I use zenoss 3.0, after I changed the IO graph RPN to "512,*" and "to base 1024", the IO graph displays green area sliced by max -1. Then I changed the IO graph rrd max to null, now I can not see any graph, and I want to change the IO graph rrd max, but when accessing monitor template, some error occurs, I can not see graph definition.

The server reported the following error:

ValueError invalid literal for int() with base 10:  ''

The system has encountered an error. Please reload the page.

You could try removing the RPN from the graph point in Zope.  I can help you get to the correct location if you provide the full class your device is in, also tell me if you created a local copy of the template.

OK, lets try.  First, append 'manage' to the end of your URL like this -

    http://YOURZENOSSSERVER/zport/dmd/Devices/Server/Linux/manage

Next, in the main window, click rrdTemplates, Device, graphDefs, IO, graphPoints

Choose the graph point you are having the issue with and click the Properties tab in the upper right corner.  Hopefully this shows you the properties page and you can remove your RPN and click 'Save Changes'.  Remove 'manage' from the URL and see if you can load the device template now.

    zenoss 3.0

I created a custom graph and put min Y and max Y values incorrect. I try to follow the instructions provided here to fix the problem.

    but I can't delete it(test-throught) from graphDefs.

-> rrdTemplates -> ethernetCsmacd_64 -> graphDefs and selected the custom name, and click "delete", it reports me A zenoss error has occurred" window.

    Value: test-throught does not exist.

Does anyone have any idea how to get rid of this? thanks.

    Re: problem with graph definition

I am having the same problem. I entered bad values for min/max Y on my graph and now I cannot delete it from graphDefs as it claims that the value does not exist.

    Found a solution.

    in zendmd:

    dmd.Devices.rrdTemplates.[yourtemplate].graphDefs._remove(dmd.Devices.rrdTemplates.[yourtemplate].graphDefs.[yourgraphid])

    Re: problem with graph definition

Well, I fixed that by installing a new version 3.0.1.

But I haven't got a chance to test it out, and I am afraid it might break sth...
