Newbie here, your help would be appreciated! I've got a machine I need to monitor, but it is in an isolated environment where SNMP is blocked by firewalls and can't be opened up due to a bureaucratic nightmare. Is there any way of getting traps from that environment in to Zenoss? We have other protocols we can use, e.g. Email or HTTP through a proxy server. Does an SNMP-to-HTTP gateway exist that I can put in the isolated environment, and then have an HTTP-to-SNMP gateway on the main side? or SNMP-to-email/email-to-SNMP?
Thanks for the suggestion. So you mean that in the isolated environment, I use traptoemail to send email, and then in the main environment, somehow get that email into syslog? Do you have any suggestions as to how to do that? Or am I misunderstanding your suggestion?
