So ran into a fun problem today. Trying to add a router that has multiple IPs assigned to it, those IPs get mapped via NAT to internal IPs (ie: 188.8.131.52 -> 10.0.0.2)
Zenoss sees these IPs as part of the router they are attached to so I can't add those IPs as another device (example,. that one above would be a switch we want to monitor the ports).
Is there a way around having Zenoss auto adding those IPs into that device? Or a way to tell Zenoss that those IPs aren't actually that device?
i never use it but i think this new zenpack can hel you
his ZenPack can help to create Device object for Virtual Cluster resource.
zInterfaceMapIgnoreIpAddresses - re style IP Adresses list (o.e. ^192\.168\.1\.).
but maybe you can use this variable to ignore natted ip address
Sorry for the late reply. This kind of got shoved to the side with other work.
How can I add that zInterfaceMapIgnoreIpAddresses? Would that go under zenmodeler config?
