1. We have a site that has a long shot from a town to a tower, there are many sites around that tower that connect. The map works great in that it shows us a good over view of where everything is using GPS. However since the backhaul shot is quite long it shows the sites around the tower as a blob of dots that is unreadable. So lets zoom in, I can zoom no problem but now that I've zoomed the mouse over for the sites doesn't work anymore so I don't know which site is which unless I click on it. Anyone else have this issue? Possibly a firefox 3 issue? A google maps issue?
2. We have a lot of devices that aren't layer 3 devices so no routes will show for Zenoss to auto build dependencies. Is there a way to manually select dependencies or create them in a different way so the system won't alert on devices if a radio goes down or something?
I'm experiencing the very same issues.
1) happens in FF3.X and Chrome - *really* annoying
2) This is why I get hundreds of alerts when a major link goes down - And setting the depencencies manually, as described somewhere in the documentation, isn't an option in my case, as maintaining this hack for hundreds of subnets would be just insane
I'd be very interested in any workaround/fix concerning that
I found the same thing happens in IE 7, can't zoom in and keep the labels.
for issue n°2 maybe you can use location event suppression
This should suppress all events in the ‘location_1′ when the device called ‘test_router_1′ is no longer pingable. Note that eventState (0,1,2) maps to New, Acknowledged, Suppressed. Notice that the code above could be modified to work with Groups or Systems as well, but they use lists rather than single values since devices may belong to multiple Systems or Groups.
I have the same pb with googlemaps and the tooltip disappear when zooming. I would like ti know If you had a solution, or if you know a version FFX that work fine with googlemaps zoom.
Related to the first issue, I already tested using Firefox 10, IE 9 and Chrome 17, but the same issue happens, anyone has solved this issue or has some baseline to start the troubleshoot?
