Hello all,
I hope my problem will interest you because I'm totally blocked !!
I must monitore a Cisco CallManager that is installed on a Windows 2K3 server. So, i have added the MIB of this callmanager in Zenoss (with many difficults) but, now, i don't know how I can use this MIB to monitore some elements.
For exemple, I would see the status of this CallManager : the OID for that is 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.156.1.1.2.1.5 and when I do :
snmpwalk -v1 -cpublic 192.168.1.2 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.156.1.1.2.1.5
I have 2 when the status is up (1 when it's down).
So, how can I monitore this status on Zenoss interface (by polling for exemple) ??
I need your help because I didn't find similar cases in other topics or documentations.
(Sorry for my bad english...
)
Read the Admin guide on creating your own SNMP datasources (and more
generally a Template to make them in).

Thank you, I have already read this part of the documentation but when I do like they show, it doesn't work with my exemple.
I have created the template and datasource with the value of the OID that I showed above but when i add this template on my device, i don't see the state of Cisco Manager, I just see the name of my datasource and a grey button (you know, it's green when it's work and grey when it's unknow i believe). I have no more informations on the Status...
One of the devices I'm monitoring is a Cisco Call Mgr. I've set it up to respond to SNMP and also to send traps to Zenoss. This works very well.
Well, Zenoss is going to generally not show anything specifically in the
GUI on that, but you could create a graph/threshold using a min of 2, so
when it goes to 1 you'll get an event showing it's down...
