Description:

The ZenODBC ZenPack implements the ODBC DataSource and zenperfodbc daemon based on new ZenCollector framework from Zenoss 2.5. New zenperfodbc daemon supports both pyodbc and isql based clients, if pyodbc library not installed isql client will be used. The ZenODBC ZenPack provides an ODBC Modeler Plugin class (Python Plugin wrapper) which can be used by other ZenPacks. After installing it you will have a new zenperfodbc daemon for monitoring via ODBC, so you will have to 'zenoss restart' to take advantage of this new capability.

It is used as the basis for the MS SQL ODBC Database Monitor,MySQL ODBC Database Monitor and PostgreSQL ODBC Database Monitor ZenPacks.

  • This ZenPack depends on the RDBMS Monitoring and Advanced Device Details ZenPacks.  Please install the Advanced Device Details ZenPack first, then the RDBMS Monitoring.
