This monitoring ZenPack provides Dell EqualLogic device details such as Volumes, HardDisk's, Fan's and Storage Pools. EqualLogic devices are often iSCSI-based SAN appliances for easy storage management in data centers.
The ZenPack has the following Device Class(es)
Performance Template DellEqualLogicFan
DataSource Datapoint Description highFanSpeed highFanSpeed lowFanSpeed lowFanSpeed rpm rpm status status
Graph Fan Speed
Name Type Description High Fan Speed ThresholdGraphPoint Low Fan Speed ThresholdGraphPoint rpm DataPointGraphPoint
Performance Template DellEqualLogicHardDisk
DataSource Datapoint Description status status
Install the dependencies then do a zopectl restart, then install the zenpack. Once installed, add the Dell EqualLogic device to be monitored by doing the following in a terminal as the zenoss user: "zendisc run --deviceclass=/Network/SAN/EqualLogic and --device=ipaddress". You can also add the device traditionally via the GUI like all other device, as long as you set the deviceclass. Once it is discovered just model the device and you are now ready to get some info.
- Zenoss Versions Supported: 3.0.2
- External Dependencies: None
- ZenPack Dependencies:
- ZenPacks.community.deviceAdvDetail >=1.6
- 1.0 initial release
- 1.1 fix for bug found by IRC user
Tested: This ZenPack was tested with Zenoss version 3.0.2.
Only works with one StoragePool as that is all I have to test with. When my company gets another EqualLogic will test a secondary StoragePool.
