About Core Development

Zenoss Core is developed collaboratively with our community of users. Most developers tend to provide their own discrete bits of code via ZenPacks (plugins). Additionally, everyone is welcome to submit patches and bugs to our Zenoss Core product via our public Trac instance (user/pass zenoss/zenoss).

 

About ZenPack Development

We have sub-communities dedicated to ZenPack Development and Porting & Platforms.

 

There are also dedicated forums for core development (zenoss-dev) and for ZenPack development (zenoss-zenpacks) and there are a number of developer documents available on the Wiki.

Contribution Form

Zenoss does accept user contributions to the core codebase using the below procedure. If you want to submit a ZenPack, please reference The ZenPack Development Process.

  • Add the keyword "contribute" to the ticket.
  • Attach your patch or code to the ticket.
