The biggest trends in IT this year are cloud computing and virtualization. Analyst firm Gartner goes so far as to say that by 2012,
20 percent of all businesses will own no IT assets suggesting they will all move to infrastructure hosted in the cloud. Whether you agree with that bold prediction or not we want to work with you to be prepared for inevitable growth of virtualization and cloud computing.
That's why we are running the
Zenoss in the Clouds ZenPack contest to extend Zenoss to monitor all your virtual infrastructure. We also want to arm you with the information that you will need to manage your cloud infrastructure. So please take part in the
Zenoss Virtualization and Cloud Computing Survey to find out what other members of the community are doing with regards to cloud computing. (All participants will receive the survey results).
[We will randomly draw one winner from all survey participants for a new Google Nexus One Phone (unlocked).]
Zenoss Community Day - Los Angeles
This year we are trying to connect with as many of our users as possible and to that end we are conducting a number of local training events. The first event of 2010 will be held during the Southern California Linux Expo in Los Angeles on February 19th. The event will provide one day of free training to install, configure and monitor your infrastructure with Zenoss Core. For those who can't make it we recorded a full days training in Baltimore so you can still get most of the content online.
