Zenoss Newsletter - August 2009

Posted by shuckins on Aug 31, 2009 8:45:40 PM

This month the Zenoss Core project hit a huge milestone, one million downloads. We would like to thank everyone who has helped us not only reach this milestone, but those of you helping to ensure the future success of Zenoss.

We also have a lot of cool new things to look forward to in the upcoming weeks. The next Zenoss release, King Crab, will see its first beta release in September with new UI improvements especially the event console.  We are launching a new community website with many new enhancements including a new wiki, commenting on documentation, groups, tagging, community blogs and lots of new features to make it easier to collaborate with other Zenoss users. The new portal will be live in mid-September. Also by the time this email hits your inbox or soon after we should have released Zenoss Core 2.4.5, check the Zenoss Download Page for updates and release notes.

Zenoss on the Road

The Zenoss team will be at a number of events this fall.  In the beginning of September we will be at VMworld in San Francisco and Red Hat Summit in Chicago. Later on we will be hanging with the Zenoss community at Ohio LinuxFest where we will be putting on  Zenoss Community Day II, and the Atlanta LinuxFest where we will be providing a live demo.  We love to meet Zenoss users in person so stop by and introduce yourself.

Thank you for your interest and support for Zenoss.
