He is really a SHE

Last week our own Mark Hinkle posted a blog entry about why start-up companies need plastic plants – and used a picture of “Stumpy” to make his point.

As it turns out, “Stumpy” is really “Audrey” and was given to our CEO, Bill, by his wife.

As the IT Manager here at Zenoss, I obviously use our own monitoring solution which frees up a significant amount of time in my schedule for other tasks. I have decided to use part of this time to put Audrey on the road to recovery, and document the progress here in our blog.

Audrey - Not HappyAs a refresher, here is what Audrey looked like last week.
Audrey - FridayOn Friday afternoon (the same day the story was posted), I watered her, trimmed all the dead leaves off, and moved her to a location to get more sunlight – she seems to appreciate the effort.
Audrey - MondayOn Monday morning, Audrey is showing definite signs of recovery – not quite as wilted as the previous Friday, and a nice gloss to her leaves.
Audrey - Getting better every day!Wednesday – things are looking up!
Audrey - One Week LaterAudrey – One week later, on the road to a great recovery!

So, in reply to Mark’s assertion that all start-up companies should have plastic plants – I’d like to make a qualification on that:

All start-up companies not using Zenoss should have plastic plants!

Peace,

Rusty
